EPI Group · Offshore wind capability · Exclusive Philippine agent: TWPI

The seabed knowledge offshore wind is built on.

EPI Group brings 35+ years of marine geoscience and 3,000+ specialist consultants to the offshore wind sector — geophysical and geotechnical site investigation, environmental consenting, UXO risk mitigation, and QHSE, delivered for developers from the US East Coast to Europe, Taiwan, and Australia. Full lifecycle coverage

From the first survey line to steel in the seabed

The capability that turns an offshore lease area into a financeable, constructible wind farm.

Every offshore wind project stands on what is known about the seabed. EPI manages the campaigns that create that knowledge — survey design, tendering, vessel audits, offshore client representation, and data QC — then stays through construction with UXO clearance, environmental compliance, and HSE oversight. Continuous quality assurance runs through EPIQC™, EPI's proprietary toolkit, under ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 accreditation — cutting survey time and cost while keeping every deliverable bankable.

Capability

Six disciplines, one integrated offer

Subsea infrastructure on the seabed — the domain of geophysical site survey
Geophysical site surveys

Mapping the lease area

End-to-end management of geophysical campaigns — multibeam, sonar, magnetometer, and UHR seismic — from scopes of work and contractor audits through real-time acquisition QC to interpretation oversight, so engineering decisions rest on verified data.

Geotechnical site investigation

Ground truth for foundations

Desktop studies, drilling and CPT program design, on-site QA during sampling campaigns, and Geotechnical Interpretive Reports to DNV, ISO, and IMCA standards — the ground model on which turbine foundations and export cables are engineered.

Environmental & consenting

Permits, mitigation, monitoring

ESIAs and EIA chapters for marine mammals, habitats, and fisheries; permitting and stakeholder engagement; and offshore mitigation crews — PSOs, MMOs, PAM operators, and fisheries liaison officers — with acoustic modelling and sound source verification.

Clearing legacy hazards

With partner NjordIC, one of the leading offshore UXO consultancies: threat and risk assessment, survey design, target investigation supervision, and ALARP certification — protecting foundations, cables, and construction crews across the Asia-Pacific.

Asia-Pacific momentum

Asia’s offshore wind decade — and the Philippines is next

The two most advanced offshore wind markets outside China are in EPI’s neighbourhood — and the disciplines they demanded are exactly what Philippine projects will need.

Taiwan · Taipei office 4.5 GW

Installed offshore wind capacity — Asia-Pacific’s leader outside China, targeting 13 GW by 2030, with a further 3.6 GW auction round launched in 2026. Taiwan built its industry on rigorous site investigation in typhoon and seismic conditions directly comparable to Philippine waters.

South Korea · Seoul office 14.3 GW

National 2030 offshore wind ambition. Korea’s Special Act on Offshore Wind, in force since March 2026, has unlocked government-designated zones and one-stop permitting — with 1.78 GW awarded in the first-half 2026 auction alone, including the country’s first large floating project.

Philippines · TWPI, Manila 3.3 GW

Capacity offered under GEA-5, the country’s first auction dedicated to offshore wind, awarding in 2026. Every awarded service contract now needs what came first in Taiwan and Korea: geophysical and geotechnical campaigns, environmental baselines, and UXO clearance. EPI and TWPI have already delivered here — geophysical survey QC for the Nexif Ratch offshore wind development in San Miguel Bay.

EPI is not arriving in the region for the occasion — it is already resident, with offices in Taipei, Seoul, New Delhi, and Perth serving the markets that wrote Asia’s offshore wind playbook. Through TWPI in Manila, Philippine developers tap that regional bench directly: the same survey managers, client representatives, and environmental crews that de-risked Taiwanese and Korean lease areas, mobilised next door. Just as important, they arrive the right way: EPI is among the very few international marine consultancies whose specialists have deployed to Philippine projects fully compliant — work permits, visas, and Philippine taxes — a bar many foreign consultants never clear, and one that protects developers from regulatory and audit exposure on their own projects.

Bring this to Philippine offshore wind.

Turquoise Wave Partners is the exclusive Philippine agent for EPI Group — connecting the country's offshore wind developers to world-class site investigation, consenting, and marine assurance from day one.
